Andrea Loux – Brigitte Zieger

28.7.–31.8.2002

This exhibition is dedicated to two artists who mainly work with video and photography. Both of them created new works for the show. Although the content of their work could not be more different there are also many similarities. For a start, they both focus on stories, real or fictitious ones. Often these stories take place in a setting designed especially for the work in question. Andrea Loux creates so-called «Lebenssysteme» – life systems – and fits people into them. Brigitte Zieger on the other hand builds small-scale models of landscapes that, by being filmed, are turned into unusual ‘crime scenes’ or indeed actors in their own right.
