‹TV-Dinner›: Clare Goodwin

14.12.2002 – 1.2.2003

British artist Clare Goodwin shows her new works. She has been consistently working as a painter, although from time to time she introduces the medium of painting into the context of installation. The main subjects of her paintings are above all interiors of the 60s and 70s. She finds her motifs in old magazines and catalogues and renders them into paint. Her kitchen interiors, once in front elevation, once seen from above, are painted in the most spectacular colour combinations. Of late she has introduced a new subject by painting the deflections of an oscillograph, resulting in mysterious structures of intertwining lines. This is an exhibition of refreshing paintings full of humour and charm.
