Beat Brogle – Markus Schwander

15.9.-19.10.2002

It is the first time that artists Beat Brogle and Markus Schwander show their work together. Although they both show an installation, sculptures and objects as well as drawings, they represent fundamentally different positions. What they have in common is their underlying, sometimes caustic, humour. Schwander is interested in making visible microstructures, or small and normally overlook details of the world surrounding us. Brogle on the other hand is interested in making invisible the shape or form of things. It is no coincidence that he regards his drawings on transparent paper as being amorphous.
