Pascal Danz: ‹THAT’S SIMPLY NOT DONE›

Our memory saves images mostly for subjective or personal reasons. Pascal Danz explores this very subjectiveness in his paintings and thereby reassesses personal experiences and memories as well as the power of images in the cultural memory. His painting is at the same time seductive and disturbing – simple, but not easy to grasp. Known for his landscapes, cityscapes and interiors, he creates works, which question our perception of space and time, the boundaries of depiction and abstraction, as well as the relationship between original and «copy».
